Every September Kerry calls the “hay guy” and he delivers over 100 bails of hay to feed the donkeys and goats over the long winter. On Thursday, September 13, he showed up again with an enormous hay wagon and he was met by a very eager La Finca Class to help unload. For the next hour and a half Dakota, Cherish, Zach, Ashwil, Mariah, Mike and Jesse pulled back our sleeves and hauled hay. About half way into this big job and just when we thought the job might be too much for our small group…Reinforcements Came! Josh, Zach and Ralf all showed up to give us the extra hands and heart we needed to finish strong.

“Make hay while the sun shines” is an old proverb that means to take advantage of the chance to do something while the conditions are good. And that is exactly what we did! Kudos everyone to another productive year of putting up the hay.
