This summer Bellcate School was privileged to receive a very generous donation. Jace, The Vermont Tech Guy, who supports all of Bellcate’s technology needs, donated four beautiful raised beds to our garden program. Jace and his husband were moving and no longer had the need for these mammoth raised beds. We fell in love with the idea of having them but initially struggled to imagine how we would move these giants to Bellcate. Each 4 by 6 ft wooden bed weighed several hundred pounds and was filled to the brim with wet sand and soil.

In true Bellcate fashion we came together as a community.

Bellcate’s workhorse program in collaboration with students from our garden program got the job done. After several classes of problem solving and grueling work, Bellcate students successfully moved the raised beds to their new home. Our garden program wasted no time in preparing and planting the new beds. Our culinary students can now walk right out the front door to harvest veggies and herbs for their spectacular creations. A big shout out to Jace for always thinking of Bellcate School.

We truly appreciate you!
