Ravenscroft Farm is a small, family run maple sugaring operation in Cambridge, VT. We presently tap just over 2000 trees collected by tubing run to our sugarhouse, as well as two small traditional bucket woods.

Last season we began hosting the Bellcate “Tap to Sugar” apprenticeship. The program is designed to give students a hands-on learning opportunity in the daily workings of a commercial maple sugaring operation. Students learn about the history and production of maple syrup in Vermont. Additionally, students learn about the culture and mechanics of maple sugaring from tree identification to operating a commercial evaporator.

The 2018 season in upon us our crew from Bellcate has been hard at work maintaining our present sugarwoods, as well as expanding into a new section of woods with a new mainline tubing installation. This new line will give us access to a new section of existing woods. We will start tapping trees in the first weeks of February so we are ready when the temperature begins to warm up and the sap starts flowing!
