As a community, students have been asked to participate in submitting names for the rover that will be headed to Mars in 2020. Here is one student’s submission:
‘Love. I chose this name because in my time at Bellcate, I have been shown nothing but love and affection; they always go out of their way to let me know that I am cared for, that I am worth it, that I will always be LOVED. This always filled me with hope, they do it for so many other kids on a daily basis, and they’ve created a community around that care and compassion. They make everyone feel special and unique and I’m warmed to my very core by that. The part that sticks out the most is that they always welcome people with open arms. They love everyone equally and always remind you that no matter where you go after Bellcate, you will always have a place to come back to visit because they don’t want to lose connection to you. Bellcate has also helped me through some of my hardest times and not once did they hesitate to offer their full support to me and it shows me that I can call them a family that I love. This is something that I can never thank them enough for. They make me feel so wanted and it helps me to know that I have so many people that want the absolute best for me. I tell you all of this because if you were to chose this, I would be forever touched to see Bellcate’s love and compassion to be shared on a universal scale, to be shared with other worlds.’ ~ Dakota
